In aged care, early signs of deterioration are going unaccounted for.
Without a structured framework, opportunities for early intervention are lost.
This is why we are introducing IRESTORE in VCare.
Introducing IRESTORE in VCare
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting high-quality clinical practice, we are pleased to introduce IRESTORE, now available in VCare across our Irish division.
IRESTORE (Irish Recognise Early Soft-signs, Take Observations, Respond, Escalate) is an early warning system designed specifically for aged residential care. It supports teams to recognise and respond to deterioration earlier, using a structured and consistent approach aligned with best practice.
Supporting Early Recognition and Consistent Care
Early detection of deterioration remains one of the most critical and challenging aspects of aged care.
Deterioration rarely occurs suddenly. More often, it develops gradually, with subtle changes present well before a situation becomes critical. IRESTORE supports care teams to recognise these early indicators and act appropriately.
Within VCare, IRESTORE supports the following aspects of care delivery:
🧠Recognise early changes
Identify subtle changes in a resident’s baseline before deterioration escalates.
📋 Support consistent assessment
Provide clear structure that improves confidence and decision-making.
📢 Strengthening communication
Ensure changes are documented clearly and acted on promptly.
📊 Improve accuracy and oversight
Support reliable data capture aligned with best practice and compliance.
Strengthening Clinical Governance
IRESTORE supports providers by improving visibility, consistency, and oversight across clinical teams.
By embedding structured early warning processes into daily workflows, it enables a more proactive approach to care — supporting earlier intervention, reducing risk, and reinforcing safe, consistent practice.
It is important to note, IRESTORE complements but does not replace clinical judgement.
